The person you'd be hiring
Nathan
Clark.
I have spent more than twenty years building software — for agencies, for startups, and for enterprise software companies — and running the DevOps and cloud platforms that keep it online once it ships. AppClan is me doing that work directly for small businesses instead of through three layers of a company.
There is no bench here, and that is the point. When you hire AppClan, the person on the call is the person who writes the code and the person who answers the phone when something breaks at four in the afternoon. Nobody is learning on your budget, and there is nobody to hand you off to.
Some of it
Things I've
actually shipped.
- CaptivePoint
- A media network, advertising and video platform, built end to end.
- iFreshCountry
- The iOS app, the Android app and the web application — the whole product, not a piece of it.
- AppClan, since 2014
- Integration and custom software for owner-operated businesses, mostly in and around East Texas.
Why integration
Because it's the
unglamorous part.
Most of what costs a small business real money is not a missing app. It is the twenty minutes a day somebody spends moving the same facts between two systems that were never introduced, and the mistakes that come out of it three weeks later.
That work does not demo well and nobody writes conference talks about it. It is also the thing that twenty years of doing this is genuinely worth something for — knowing which seam to use, what breaks quietly, and what a system will do at two in the morning when nobody is watching.
Based in Gilmer, Texas, working anywhere. Thirty minutes on the phone costs you nothing and usually settles whether there is anything here worth doing.
